Isobelle Carmody
(1958 – )
Isobelle Carmody considers that she has been a writer and
storyteller her whole life. Her father was killed in a car
crash when she was just fourteen years old, and with
seven younger siblings, Carmody was often left to entertain
them with horror and fantasy stories while her mother
worked in the evenings.
She wrote her first full book, Obernewtyn, at the age of
fourteen, leading to a series of Obernewtyn Chronicles
which she continues to write today. She has also written
the Legendsong Trilogy and the Little Fur series.

Hi everyone my name is Isobelle Carmody and i am posting this blog to tell you about my new novel called The Gathering. This novel has themes including:

• Good vs Evil
• Power/Opression
• Isolation
• Freedom
• Supernatural
• Freindship

The book is set in Cheshunt, near Elderew.

The main charcter is called Nathaniel and goes through many different situations that test his strength.
